USA Today
President Bush submitted a budget to Congress this week that is so big, most of us just shrug it off without thinking about what it means to us individually.
The income tax is the fairest tax we have. Paying more for education, health care, Social Security, real "homeland security" and the most modern military equipment and decent pay for servicemen and women doesn't bother me.
"Staying the course" on that wrong road will not bankrupt us financially. But it is busting our budget, continuing to cost countless innocent lives, and making us look morally bankrupt in the eyes of much of the rest of the world.
